When you get red lights on your Xbox 360, you’re looking at a possible variety of issues. But if your television is telling you a specific error code, you can generally troubleshoot the error yourself and get your Xbox 360 up and running again.
If you’re faced with an E71 or E72 error on your Xbox 360, the problems lies within Xam.xex. This is generally an error dealing with your dashboard. You will need to reset your console with console reset codes, which can be found online. This requires resetting your primary storage device.
If this has been done, and you are still not getting any action from your Xbox 360, it’s time for some repair. In this case, you’ll want to consider having it repaired by a professional. You can either send your Xbox 360 to Microsoft themselves for support and replacement, or you can contact a local game shop that may be able to repair the issue for you.
