You may be wondering if there are any preventative measure that you can take to protect your investment. Lucky for us there are a couple of different ways you can prevent getting the xbox red ring of death.

Cooling:

There are a couple really good cooling systems for the Xbox 360. As overheating is one of the major causes of this fault, we recommend grabbing one of these puppies. It can be a matter of life and death. If you do not have one of these cooling units you are just asking for trouble.

Console Placement:

One of the easiest and free ways to prevent Xbox Red Rings is to make sure the console is not sitting right on the ground. There is much more dust, that can make its way into your console.  Make sure the console and power supple have ample breathing room. Both of these can get very hot and cause Xbox Red Rings.
